African pied hornbill (Lophoceros fasciatus)

Hornbills are really fascinating birds. The African pied hornbill is no exception. I really like the characteristic, huge bill - which is surprisingly lightweight.
For this digital painting, I gave another go to Rebelle 5. I enjoyed applying thicker, heavier brush strokes for a deeper impasto effect.
