Purple heron (Ardea purpurea)

A digital painting to start off the new year. The Purple heron is a common wading bird in Singapore. It looks very majestic, especially in flight.
I wanted to test the new painting software: Rebelle 5 from @escapemotions. This software is imitating natural media exceptionally well. Painting feels very natural, especially with the new pigment-based paint-mixing method.
